PETRON MALAYSIA OPENS MILESTONE 800TH SERVICE STATION
Petron Pedas-Linggi Layby Southbound furthers the Company’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions

KUALA LUMPUR – As part of its commitment to reach more motorists, Petron Malaysia recently achieved a new milestone with the opening of its 800th service station – Petron Pedas-Linggi Layby Southbound, strategically located along the PLUS North-South Expressway.

This 4,047-sqft station is designed to cater to both local and long-distance motorists travelling down south. It opened just in time for the January school holidays and upcoming festive travels, providing customers with another convenient stop to refresh and refuel.

Besides offering quality fuels Blaze 100 Euro 4M, Blaze 97 Euro 4M, Blaze 95 Euro 4M, Turbo Diesel Euro 5 and Diesel Max Euro 5, the service station has a Treats Mart with various in-store offerings such as Dunkin’, Costa Coffee, and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). This is the first Petron service station to feature a Quick Treats booth at the forecourt area, allowing customers to grab and go some snacks and beverages from the convenience of their vehicles.

“The opening of our 800th service station marks a great end to 2024 and an excellent start to 2025 for Petron. This shows our commitment to bringing our products and services to more Malaysians, which cater to their fuel needs and many more. As we transform our stations into a place of convenience, we are excited to diversify our non-fuel business and welcome more partners who share our passion for service and excellence,” said Mohd Nizam Mansor, General Manager of Petron Malaysia.

Driving Sustainability and Innovation

Aside from growing the business, Petron Malaysia is equally focused on its sustainability commitments. The Petron Pedas-Linggi Layby Southbound station incorporated green solutions into its design, such as rainwater harvesting to optimise water consumption, solar-powered lighting to reduce carbon emissions, and eco-friendly building materials to minimise environmental impact.

Just like other Treats Marts, the stations’ Treats provides shelf space for locally produced goods with the “Sapot Lokal” initiative. Since 2021, the ‘Sapot Lokal’ campaign has been providing local entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their products, either through Petron’s vast network of Treats Marts or through various collaborative efforts.

Fuelling the Nation Responsibly

As Petron Malaysia celebrates this landmark achievement, the Company reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality fuel and enhanced customer convenience in a sustainable manner. Petron Malaysia will continue to grow its service station network while setting a new benchmark for convenience retailing.

Rewarding Customers

Petron Malaysia is giving Malaysians a chance to win one year’s worth of free fuel. This nationwide campaign will run from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025. Customers who purchase a minimum of RM250 worth of fuel and register their Petron Miles Card or the Petron Mobile App will be eligible for a prize draw with more than RM 200,000 worth of fuel up for grabs (Terms and Conditions Apply).
